Add and approve knowledge
Choose the document knowledge your assistant can use.
Start with your documents
Open Knowledge for the selected agent and upload a Markdown or plain-text file. Bulbul extracts sections that you can select and save as drafts. Start with a useful product guide or public policy.
Include exact product names, policy details and limits when they matter. Avoid private account data: approved knowledge can be shown to website visitors.
Draft first. Approve when ready.
Draft content is not included in retrieval. Choose Review drafts beside a saved document. Read its sections, select the facts visitors may use and approve the selection in one action.
In a connected workspace, approval also creates the searchable embedding. If saving fails, resolve the error before assuming the content is available.
Keep changes in the source document
Document sections are read-only in Bulbul. To correct or add a fact, update the source file and choose Update document from its actions menu. Upload the same filename, review and approve the new drafts, then choose Use updated version. The current file keeps answering until activation. Version history lets you inspect and activate an earlier approved version.
Use Delete document to remove all versions, or Delete version to remove one. Type the filename to confirm permanent removal of its extracted content. Historical conversations remain with unavailable-source labels. Re-upload and approve the source to restore its knowledge.
Check both sides of the boundary
Use the Playground to ask a direct question, a rephrasing and a question with missing context. Check the source reference alongside the answer.
An answer should reflect the approved documents. Retest after approving updated sections. The connected workspace keeps document versions and approval history. Using a new or earlier version resets the recorded answer checks.
